As a member of the Social Venture Network Europe and Social Enterprise Netherlands we highly value sustainable social enterprise.Multatuli Travel is proud of the fact that it was instrumental in raising environmental awareness among travellers and that it strives to maintain strict policies which support sustainability within its organisation. We focus on saving energy within the workplace, reducing our use of paper, waste disposal and ensuring that our suppliers buy and sell Fair Trade products.
Our employee benefits package has been selected to accommodate the interests of our employees. These include the option of working from home one day a week and complete reimbursement of travel expenses for those travelling by public transportation. We offer our employees the opportunity to visit projects by our partners free of charge. We encourage the attendance of lectures, conferences and other forms of communications pertaining to our goals.
Employees of Multatuli are highly involved in our policy making. During staff meetings we combine our individual knowledge and experience to come to working agreements that will enable us to best meet the needs of our customers.
Our policies are aimed at social enterprise with a healthy financial base. Multatuli joined the Raptim Intercontinental group in 2004 and in doing so, not only guaranteed the continuation of its objectives but also made it possible for Greenseat to be introduced overseas.
